Fossil Free Careers Campaign Workshop

Join us for the second event of Go Green Week 2022, and learn about how you can get involved in campaigning against the fossil fuel industry.

Date: Tuesday 15th February, 18.30-20.30.

Location: Zoom (link provided via email)

Event Description

The oil, gas, and mining industries are responsible for the worsening climate crisis. But universities are complicit too. They continue to prop up the big polluters, sending them a steady stream of graduate workers.
Students are fighting back. For our second event of Go Green Week, we are putting on an interactive workshop so that you can get involved in the campaign to liberate our universities. We'll learn about why the extractive industries are so bad, why it's important that we focus on recruitment, and the power that students have to break the ties between universities and the oil, gas, and mining industries.

This workshop is open to all. It will be an interactive workshop conducted over zoom. It will last 90 minutes, all activities are optional, and there will be breaks throughout.

People & Planet is the largest student network in the UK campaigning for social and environmental justice. We envision a future in which spiralling inequality, instability, climate crisis and resource depletion are reversed, and a world in which the balance of power in society has fundamentally shifted to an equal world that benefits all of us.
